Welcome to the Literacy Lounge
The Literacy Lounge is a dedicated space to foster a love of literacy in both reading and mathematics. Reading provides us with the opportunity to explore new worlds, travel on imaginary journeys, become adventurers on marvelous explorations and so much more. A good book can take you anywhere you want to go or become anyone you want to be. As you begin your learning journey in fourth grade, the Literacy Lounge will become your sweet escape to explore your world both fantasy and reality.
Our classroom is a safe place where we foster a promise to become lifelong learners. We spend our day in a dynamic learning environment. The learners in our classroom practice mutual respect in that all individuals feel comfortable to engage in conversations and discoveries to learn about the global world. We are dedicated to enhancing our unique abilities and expertise in a variety of content and disciplines. We are creative and use digital communication skills to express ourselves and share our knowledge in the 21st Century. We are a 4th grade classroom from the Huntington Elementary School. We are a group of students who love to learn about current events, science, social studies and so much more. We are a team of writer's who showcase their work using a number of multimedia approaches. Our favorite time of day is Morning Meeting. We open every morning with a special message from our teacher, Miss O'Brien. We get to share some of the great things we learn using our Learning Logs.
